If a pool gets a positive result, it moves to the second phase of testing, in which the samples in the pool will need to be tested individually to determine which samples are positive. During the second phase, a PRC test is recommended. If a pooled test result is negative, all of the people who provided samples can be assumed to test negative for SARS-CoV-2 infection.
